• The Dexcom G6 utilizes small- wearable sensor and transmitter to continuously measure and send glucose levels wirelessly to a receiver or compatible smart device- giving patients real-time glucose data without pricking their finger. In patients- patients aged ≤17yrs. can also wear their device on the upper buttocks
• The system also offers customizable alerts and alarms to help avoid fluctuating blood sugar events. In Feb’ 20- Dexcom G6 CGM System has received the CE Mark for use during pregnancy in the EU and expected to be made available in UK in Spring 2020
